A capital freighter in an S-class can spawn with 24-34 general slots and 4-8 technology slots that are usable. On rare occasions, there can be 9 technology slots that are usable. As for warp range, I can only speak on my behalf. I have one of each type of engine installed in a maxed out s-class dreadnought and have a range of just over 3,000 LY.

The max slots are highest on an S-class. The posts about freighters stating their max slots is 34 is their max SPAWN size. You can't get a natural 48 slot freighter, but you can get a max 34 and then use freighter bulkheads from derelict freighters to expand all the way to the same max as suit and starship, but it has to be S-Class for that.
